About the Event
The First Annual Mayor’s Scholarship Ball, themed as a Masquerade Mask Ball, will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026. This premier civic and philanthropic event is designed to unite business leaders, industry partners, foundations, government, and community champions around a shared purpose—supporting Chester students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership potential, and a strong commitment to their community.

Scholarships awarded through this initiative are both needs-based and merit-driven. Nominees are identified with the support of school guidance counselors, teachers, and the scholarship committee and are evaluated using clear and transparent criteria that consider:
1. Academic performance and commitment to personal growth.
2. Leadership, service, and community involvement.
3. Character, resilience, and future goals.
4. Financial need, access to opportunity, and first-generation college status.
